“Believe It Or Not, I’m A Complete Catch”
elsewhere in the world|As usual I’ve got lots of ideas, thoughts, complaints, and confusions rattling around in my brain trying for some sort of cohesion. I want to say so much, from big things like what is going on in my heart to stupid things like how I love watching The Biggest Loser (and yay for Hulu since I don’t have a TV yet) to finally answering a travel question that Geek Hiker asked me last week. (Sorry for being such a procrastinator, dude.)
But I was just over at Mel Heath’s blog, reading a very insightful post that she wrote about self-confidence and how one comes across to other people. At the end of her post she included a link to two voicemails that a guy left on a girl’s phone, that just left me speechless with my jaw dropped to my knees. I try not too abuse the power of forwarding links because do you really want to know about A True Friend Is or Men Are Like or Cute Puppies Dancing On Cotton Candy Rainbows. So believe me when I say ya’ll need to hear this. (And if you already heard it on Mel Heath’s blog then you’re probably laughing just remembering it and want to hear it again.) And you will also understand the title of this post.
And maybe I’ll get to bed at a decent hour today. And I’ve probably disgusted English teachers across the 50 states with my overuse of the word “and”. And I don’t care.

There’s something about that audio that seems familiar…

As for the post, no worries. All bloggers seem to slow down around the holidays, myself included!

Wow now I’m embarrassed that Geekhiker posted that long ago and I didn’t know! My sister emailed it to me and I almost died when I listened to it!
I love the Biggest Loser, too, but I sort of dropped off this season. I hope the finale was good!

mel heth - the finale was good. there was a marriage proposal. i was crying a bit because i am getting softer with old age.

Uh I must be very soft with age, then, because I cry at pretty much every episode I watch. I found myself more moved last season, though. Some of the emotional moments on this season seemed a bit contrived to me. The marriage proposal would’ve sent me over the edge, though…

I had never heard that before and got quite a response from pals I shared this with. Crazy talk. Simply crazy talk.
