Blog? What Blog? I Have A Blog?
mi vida estupida|Not quite sure how all of a sudden it’s almost halfway through February and I haven’t bothered to write anything. The winter just makes me want to hibernate and even the thought of clicking a mouse makes me tired. The last ten days seem like a blur of work and home and hating being cold. Through the blur I recall going out a bit, finally seeing The Road at the movies, doing a day-long Coen brothers marathon, and auditioning for a reality show, but it just feels like I did all this so long ago. It probably doesn’t help that I completely screwed up my sleep schedule this weekend and have been a bit of a zombie.
And now with this blizzard that started last night I’ve been home for a snow day. I was able to catch up on my sleep but otherwise have been mostly unproductive. I shoveled this morning only to look out the window an hour later and find that it looked as if I haven’t shoveled at all. Then I shoveled with Little Sister in the afternoon and again it is completely covered over. My arms feel like I’ve been lifting weights (though maybe that’s a good thing because I’ve been neglecting the gym for the last two weeks). I was tempted to get the sled from the padres basement, even though this contraption is cast iron and wood and probably from the Civil War which means a peg-legged pirate can go faster. Umm, yeah, that’s probably why I didn’t go sledding.
Perhaps I should invest in a cafeteria tray.

As you well know from my blog, there are times when you want to blog every day, and other times when there’s just no urge to write whatsoever. Look at it this way: until we start paying you to blog, you don’t owe anybody anything!
So, what show did you audition for?

I’m sorry - you can’t just gloss over the reality show audition. Must know more.

Seriously, you can’t just throw the reality show bit in there and not expect questions! I am going to assume that catching herpes for money is not your thing, so that rules out anything on VH-1. You’re too short for “The Bachelor”. I am voting for The Amazing Race or some kind of Librarians Gone Wild thing.

Did you and Ultra audition for the Amazing Race? Are you going to blog about the audition? Please!!

Please let it be For the Love of Ray J. or Jersey Shore in Miami???
Did you think the movie was a good adaptation of the book? I was reluctant to watch coz 1) i’m poor and 2) I really really loved how bleak the book was and I didn’t think the trailer really showed it.

This post made me tired just reading it. I cannot even imagine shoveling snow…or walking in it…or having it make my house extra cold. Brrr.
Dene’s comment made me laugh. Jersey Shore….

gh - if ya’ll were paying me to blog i’d have to say a fool and his money is easily parted - lol. as for your other question, tcd and dingo got it.
corinne - i promise i will write a full report soon(ish).
tcd - you know me so well. it was for the amazing race. i didn’t know the bachelor had a height requirement, though i’m sure there must be an age limit and i am way past it. i’m almost close enough for a cougar reality show.
dingo - yes, amazing race, yes, i will blog about it, no, not with Ultra. i think we would kill each other by the end of week 1.
dene - i don’t even know what that first show is and just recently found out about jersey shore (and it makes me glad that i don’t have cable). as for the road, it was true to the book and i loved it, except for the last 2 minutes which was a different ending. i wish the ending had been true to the book but i still loved the movie, and viggo was so good as the man.
mel heth - i’m sore all over today - forearms, biceps, thighs, even my butt muscles hurt. i do like snow upstate when it stays pristine. in the city it looks nice for a day and then becomes ugly dirty slush.

That’s the best part about dining hall trays- no investment required, just some stealthy maneuvering!

I kinda figured. If I ever did a reality show, that would be the one I would do it with. Unfortunately, I have no one to partner up with!
